How to bet?

Blackjack Switch contains chip sizes of 1.00, 5.00, 10.00, 25.00 and 100.00. Players can place any combination of these chips into both of the betting circles to begin playing the game. Blackjack Switch comes with a minimum stake table limit of 1.00 per hand. By contrast, the maximum stake table limit is fixed at 300.00 per hand. Remember that you’ll need to bet in both betting circles, so your total bet will be doubled.

How to play?

The basic premise behind Blackjack Switch, is that players are permitted the luxury of switching the second cards in each hand, allowing the player to potentially come up with a really winning hand. Two cards are dealt into each betting circle, and of course, the dealer takes theirs. The player can then decide whether or not to switch the cards between the hands.

Players may take an insurance bet if they believe the dealer has blackjack, and can double-down on the first two cards. They may also split cards of the same value, and re-split twice. Aces may not be re-split, although players can double-down after a split. The hands are then compared and the player with the hand closest to 21 (that also outranks their opponents) wins. If a player or dealer has over 21, they are bust and lose. The exception to this rule, is if the dealer has 22, and the player has 21 or less. With this odd-rule, the hand is a push. Blackjack will still beat a dealer’s 22, though.

Players can also play the Super Match side-bet in this game. To do so, a side-bet must be made. If the player has a pair, two pairs, three of a kind, or four of a kind, they will win their side-bet.

Pay-outs

Because of the advantages to the player, a blackjack win is reduced to 1:1 in this game, instead of the usual 3:2. Insurance pays out at a standard 2:1 ratio. All other wins are met with even money pay-outs. Players can also pocket 1:1 for a pair, 2:1 for a two pair, 5:1 for a 3 of a Kind, and 40:1 for a 4 of a Kind, with the Super Match side-bet.

Tips and Tricks

The rule about the dealer winning with 22, if you have 21 or less (but not blackjack) is a rather silly rule. But it is what enables Blackjack Switch to offer a house edge of just 0.16%. Just make sure that you remember the rule!

Overall Experience & Final Thoughts

Blackjack Switch allows players to do something they have always dreamed about – switching cards. In that, this variant is wholly unique and totally different from other blackjack variants on the net. Its house edge is also incredibly low, which is always appreciated!
