How to bet?

As with most Microgaming video poker titles, players can adjust their wagers on the gaming control bar, at the bottom of the screen. Players’ wagers range from a low of 0.25 per hand, up to no more than 25.00 per hand. Once your bet is made, click on the deal button to begin.

How to play?

To start off with, the player is dealt five cards. As with all video poker games, the player must decide which of the five cards they wish to keep and which they wish to discard. They can hold cards by simply clicking on them. Clicking the draw button will then see the player get new cards for the ones that they wished to replace. You can only do this once.

Once your poker hand is complete, it will be weighed against the pay-table, and if there is a win, it will be paid out. The player can then opt to double their winnings (by gambling them) or collect them. If they choose to double them, they must take on the house in a highest card wins game.

The name of this game comes from the fact that the player will receive substantially more if they land four aces, than they would in other video poker games.

Pay-outs

Players can acquire slightly larger wins when they land any Four of a Kind than they would in other games, although Four Aces pays the second highest sum of cash in the game, a total of between 400 and 2,000 coins depending on how many coins you have wagered, and bettered only by the Royal Flush. Other paying hands in All Aces include Jacks or Better, Two Pairs, Three of a Kind, Straights, Flushes, Full Houses, Four 5s-Ks, Four 2s-4s, and Straight Flushes. The best pay-out is 4,000 coins for a Royal Flush on the maximum bet.

Tips and Tricks

Because of the increased pay-outs for Four of a Kinds and Four Aces, the pay-outs for lesser hands have actually been decreased. Most players wouldn’t notice this unless told of it. For example, Jacks or Better and a Two Pair actually have exactly the same pay-outs, which is sneaky but not altogether unexpected.

Overall Experience & Final Thoughts

All Aces is certainly good value for money if you manage to land any of the higher poker hands. However, if you’re the kind of player that employs a strategy that aims at acquiring low poker hands, you’ll notice you don’t win that much money. That being said, with the highest pay-out percentage of any Microgaming video poker title, most players won’t care about that too much!
