What We Love

There are a couple of things that make this game one of my favorites, and it sure has nothing to do with my love for Lewis Carroll’s work and as I go further you will notice why.

This game features a beautiful graphic design. The aesthetics in this game are rather flawless, since the theme follows the obscure tone that most distinguish the original stories. Genesis Gaming designers have come up with a parallax effect that creates the sense of depth in the images that take place on the screen.

All this is possible by making the background images move slower than the foreground ones. It gives the 2D scene a perfect sense of immersion, and if that was not enough, the design of the symbols in the reels fits beautifully with the theme and it is still quite original.

The second thing worth loving is a special feature that, so far, I have only seen in Clash of Queens. Whenever you get three scatter symbols in a regular spin, you will enter the bonus game mode called Red Queen and White Queen face off, where you will have to choose between the two queens so they have a duel in a chessboard.

If you select the queen that wins the match, depending of the one you chose you will be rewarded. If your Red Queen turns out victorious, she will grant you with up to eight free spins with up to four random wild reels to help you get a potential free spin retrigger; if your White Queen is the winner, you will be able to pick prizes with values doubled.

What We Do Not Love

There might be just a little thing that I was not too excited about. Since the theme of the game is so original, it was kind of disappointing to find the rather too traditional A, K, Q, J, 10 and 9 cards.

Genesis Gaming came up with a lot of original things for this take. A little bit more of work and they could have taken other characters from the books, since the stories feature a lot more than Humpty Dumpty, Tweedledum and Tweedledee.

Clash of Queens has become one of my favorites, not only because I am a Lewis Carroll fan, but also because the designs and the features in the game are flawless. The parallax effect created by Genesis Gaming is something new to the market, and the Queen’s face off can help you hit a lot of winnings.
