NetEnt Rocks is back with its second title, Jimi Hendricks. NetEnt announced this new release at the ICE Totally Gaming 2016 in London, and its release date is stated for April this year. Players who are also Hendrix fans must be fairly excited that NetEntertainment managed to secure licensing rights from the Hendrix family and their companies, Experience Hendrix, LLC and Authentic Hendrix, LLC.
This game features Hendrix front and center. NetEnt developed the game entirely in 3D, taking extra care to feature Hendrix’s expressions in the most realistic way possible. We’re definitely excited about seeing Hendrix in full 3D glory when we get our hands on this game.

NetEntertainment is probably one of the biggest companies in the online casino industry, a true pioneer, operating since 1996. They are releasing NetEnt Rocks, a series of titles based around rock legends. NetEnt has already released a video slot themed around Guns’N Roses, which received plenty of acclaim earlier this year. Jimi Hendrix is the second one on the pipeline, with the last title in the trilogy being Mötorhead, due in September this year.
Given how Guns’N Roses was the most successful launch in NetEnt’s history, hopes are definitely high for Jimi Hendrix, both for the company itself and players around the world. If precedent is a good indicator, this will surely be a great hit for NetEnt. We also believe that Mötorhead will be another great hit, especially from nostalgia driven fans looking to give Lemmy a fitting tribute, though hopefully without having to get their friends to borrow money in order to play the game.
How To Play It
Since this game is still unreleased, there’s still much that we don’t for sure about it, and the user interface is one of them. We can only presume that it will have plenty of similarities in this respect with Guns’n Roses, being both titles in the NetEnt Rocks series. In that game, all the user controls are at the bottom of the screen. Left, you have a bet indicator, and a control to set your bet level.
Center, you have autoplay, spin and max bet buttons. Finally, on the bottom right, you have a control to set coin value, and an indicator with your coins. These are very simple, straightforward controls, nothing unfamiliar for anyone who’s ever played a slot machine. We have little to no reason to believe that NetEnt will deviate from this control set with the Jimi Hendrix slot machine.

Again, we rely on speculation based on the previous title in the series, Guns’n Roses. This game has a number of exciting special features, such as a random multiplier, to greatly increase the size of your wins, and large wild symbols which can occupy the entire reel they’re on, or form a cross dead center.
I don’t think I have to say how that greatly increase your win levels. Perhaps the most interesting feature in Guns’n Roses is the Crowd Pleaser minigame. Hitting a number of bonus symbols makes you enter Bonus Wheel mode, a roulette game where you can gain free spins and other rewards. One of them is the Crowd Pleaser minigame, where you enter a click to pick game. This is a fairly original departure from the traditional slots gameplay.
I have to make it very clear, we do not know whether those features from Guns’n Roses will be in this game. However, it’s safe to assume that we’ll see at least some of them in this new title. We do hope that each game in the NetEnt Rocks series will have enough distinct features as to not be simply reskins of the same underlying game.
