Hockey Hero is not the easiest game to get onboard with. Wagers will cost you a fair bit of cash. Located on the unimpressive wagering menu below the reels is a menu which will allow you to choose total bets which range from $0.40 per spin, up to $100 a spin.

Wild symbols: The trophy in this slot sort of looks like the Stanley Cup. Either way, this golden trophy acts as a wild icon in Hockey Hero and can substitute for all other icons in the game, with the exception of the goal icon. Blue and green hockey players also appear stacked on the reels, but they offer far less than the non-progressive prize.

Early on in this article, we mentioned that the only slot we could really compare this game against was Microgaming’s Break Away hockey themed slot. As it turns out, we can’t really compare the game to that. Break Away is far superior. This slot has a minimalistic free spins bonus offering just 5 free games and stacked wilds.
Microgaming’s slot carries random wilds, rolling reels, stacked wilds, up to 25 free spins, and mega multipliers. Although Hockey Hero isn’t a bad slot, if you are after playing a hockey-themed game, this won’t be the one you choose.
