The first thing that is worth talking about here is the layout of the game. You have a total of five reels, but that’s where the similarities with the regular slots stop. You don’t know how many symbols you will have on a reel each round.
The symbols change size, so a reel will be split into two to seven positions, of equal size. Since the number of symbols changes, so do the ways to win, or megaways as they’re called here. You could have as many as 117,649 Megaways in one round, but you could also get just a couple of dozen of them, or anywhere in that range really.
The reels 2, 3, 4 and 5 have an extra symbol at the top, separate from the others, placed inside mining carts. They’re still going to be used when reactions are formed.
Reactions are going to bring you new symbols when the existing ones are consumed in new combinations. The empty positions are occupied by symbols coming in from above.
The sticks of dynamite are part of the symbol which acts as the wild. You can use it to replace regular icons, but not the scatters.
As for the scatters, the letters of the word GOLD will appear on the reels, and when you have all four you get a total of 12 free spins from them. Summary
Bonanza has the same type of design and features as some of the other recent releases of BTG. They do well in certain areas, and fail with the graphics. They’re worth playing though, if you don’t mind the design.
