Theme of The Game
The action in this game will revolve around the two main sides representing good and evil, meaning that Heaven and Hell have both sent their representatives here. The Heaven’s archangel is on the left side, with a clear sky background.
The demon is on the right side, representing Hell and showing an appropriate landscape with lava and fire. The image is influenced by the very tall reels which were used, meaning that there is a lot of background being shown since they needed thin reels, or they wouldn’t fit 12 symbols per column.
The choice of symbols is not a great one, the game offering a lot of card suits and various logos representing one side or the other. Overall, I didn’t feel as excited about this NetEnt game as I was for many of their previous releases. The lack of good symbols probably had something to do with that.
NetEnt is a developer that you generally can rely on for great graphics and interesting features, and even though only the latter can be found in this game, generally I’d have no problem recommending their slots over the ones from other developers.
You can count on them releasing at least one new slot machine each month, and the average NetEnt title is usually a notch above the average title from most companies.
How To Play It
Your bets will have 40 coins or more in use, depending on the level of the bet that is selected. You can play the game with as little as $0.40, activating 100 lines when you do so. The coin value and the number of coins can be increased, so you could end up with a $200 wager at most.
Archangels: Salvation will not feel like a typical slot machine for NetEnt, in terms of the layout that was selected in its case at least. Not only is this a slot machine with 6 colossal reels, a dozen symbols appearing on each one, but there are also more lines than ever before, 100 being offered in total. It’s their first title to offer so many lines.

2×2 Wild symbols are among those that you will enjoy in Archangels: Salvation, and you will be especially happy if you get them to show up on the top two or bottom two rows of symbols (the game’s Hot Spots).
When they appear there, they trigger extra features which correspond to Heaven (top rows) or Hell (bottom rows). In both cases, you will get wild symbols added to the reels, it’s just different types that appear (stacked vs random wilds).
The activation of the free spins is done through the usual scatters, of which three are needed at a minimum, with six at most possible. Between 10 and 25 games are offered for free in exchange. The Hot Spots occupy 3 rows of symbols now, so the odds of getting a lot more wilds on the reels are much better.
The big payouts are going to come via the game’s 6 symbol combinations and will pay up to 150x the line stake. Since the slot has so many lines, you could get as much as 375x total stake back from it.
Archangels: Salvation doesn’t feel like a regular NetEnt slot machine, but that’s because it’s a bit of an experiment for them. The game has a lot of reels and lines, several solid features, but lacks the usual high-end feel of the design.
