How to bet?
As with all other Microgaming video poker games, the gaming control menu allows players to adjust their bets. Deuces and Joker isn’t an expensive video poker game, and players can expect to wager anything from 0.25 up to 25.00 per hand. After their bet is made, players can hit the deal button to begin playing Deuces and Joker.
How to play?
In Deuces or Joker, it is not as imperative that you get dealt a good hand, as it is in other video pokers. The main reason for this is the wild cards. From the moment you hit deal, you are dealt five cards. These cards can then be held or discarded by clicking on them. Once you have decided which cards to save, hit draw and then discarded ones will be replaced with new ones.
After drawing, your second hand will be your final hand. This will then be compared against the pay-table and if you have a winning hand, you will be paid out your winnings from the pay-table.
Deuces and Joker is played with 53 cards, a standard set of 52 plus one Joker. All of the deuces (2s) in the deck are wild, and is the Joker. That makes for a total of 5 wilds. The wild cards can replace themselves for any other card that they you wish them to. This is done automatically, as the computer calculates the best card for your wild to become. As a result of these wilds, additional poker hands become available to win with.
Pay-outs
4 Deuces and a Joker (5 wilds) is the best paying in the game, and can see players win 10,000 coins, but only if they have the maximum wager bet. Natural Royal Flushes (no wilds), 4 Deuces, Wild Royal Flush (Royal Flush with wild), 5 of a Kind (possible with wilds), Straight Flush, 4 of a Kind, Full House, Flush and Straights also pay. The lowest paying hand is a Three of a Kind.
Tips and Tricks
Because of the extra hands in the game, and the possibility that you could quite easily build a powerful winning hand, the Two Pair and Jacks or Better hands have been removed from the pay-table. You will win nothing with these. You must have at least a three of a kind in order to win anything – remember that!

Deuces and Joker is slightly more advantageous to the player that Microgaming’s Deuces Wild video poker game. The two games are on the same vein, although the inclusion of the Joker gives you that little bit more of an edge. In every other way though, both Deuces Wild and Deuces and Joker are essentially identical.
