How To Play?
Oliver’s Bar isn’t that dissimilar to other Novomatic designed video slots, in terms of its menu bar. This is the series of buttons that runs along the bottom of the reels. Players should consider this their hub. From there, they are able to set up their bets by changing things such as the number of coins they wish to stake, the number of paylines that they wish to play with, and so on. To the right of the reels is where players can adjust the value of their coins.
This slot is a typical 5-reel, 9 payline video slot. Coin values can be raised from the base minimum of 0.10 up to a high of just 2.00 per coin. Remarkably, players can wager anything from 1 to 100 coins per payline on this slot. This gives Oliver’s Bar a potentially gigantic wagering range, of anything from 0.10 per line, per spin; up to 1,800.00 coins per spin, though few players will be able to afford that kind of stake.
Oliver’s Bar is a video slot, but with fruit icons. However, this does not make it a fruit machine. The game is still a video slot, due to the number paylines and reels it offers, as well as its special features, which we will come to shortly.
How Much Can You Win?
If you are playing with the standard wager, the jackpot is fixed at 5,000 coins. However, on the maximum wager, the non-progressive jackpot is worth 500,000 coins. Special Symbols
Oliver’s Bar does have a wild icon. That wild icon is the cocktail symbol. When this icon appears, it can substitute for all icons, but not the scatter icon. The wild icon does not offer any cash rewards, but it is stacked. This is one of the few stacked wilds to appear in any Gaminator slot machine games.
The scatter icon is represented by the Happy Hour logo. When this icon appears three or more times anywhere on the reels, it can trigger a free spins bonus round. The scatter icon can also award scattered pay-outs when it appears two or more times anywhere on the reels.
Free Spins/Features
The player will begin the free spins bonus game with 20 free games. Over the course of those free spins, any winnings that they acquire will be multiplied by four times their value. Free spins can be re-triggered whilst the bonus round is in session, by landing three or more scatters. Players should note that free spins are offered at the same valued stake as the original spin which triggered them was played at.
There is also a gamble feature in Oliver’s Bar. This gamble feature isn’t much, but it can double your winnings. After any winning payline is played, the gamer can choose to switch on the feature, which replaces the max bet button. During the gamble feature, you must choose whether the next card will be red or black. If you are correct, you will double your winnings. You may then decide to gamble further or to collect your winnings. We don’t really have to tell you what happens if you guess incorrectly, do we?
Tips & Tricks
It is the same advice that is doled out to most players, but it is good advice. Whilst there are no tips or tricks to ensure big wins, you can ensure wins of some kind – by avoiding the gamble feature. The main reason for this is that you only have a 50-50 chance of success. Yes, you may strike it lucky, but the chances of doing that consecutively is pretty low indeed. As always though, it is your call!
Overall Thoughts
Generally, most gamers will find the whole experience of playing Oliver’s Bar, rather standard. It doesn’t have any features to blow you away, but neither is it lacklustre. Oliver’s Bar does what it is supposed to, which is provide you with a generic online slot gaming experience.
Your wins can be fairly reasonable, if you get lucky. The free games feature is certainly one of the more generous aspects of this drink and fruit themed slot.
